The TK-1245LA is a flatbed sewing machine.The TK-1245LA is designed for sewing much heavier leather and material than regular chap or upholstery sewing machines. This machine is excellent for bridles, halters, horse blankets and tents.The TK-1245LA is a walking foot, or triple feed sewng machine. The presser feet on top alternate for the top feed, the needle feeds and you also have the feed dog or lower feed. The combination of the three different feeding mechanisms create the most positive feed available in a sewing machine.The TK-1245LA has several advantages over normal sewing machines of this class.The TK-1245LA has 5/8' foot lift compared to 3/8' foot lift on regular chap machines. This allows the operator much more clearance under the presser feet for getting the project in and out of the work area.The TK-1245LA has a higher presser foot lift also allows the operator the ability to sew thicker projects like heavy headstalls, heavy nylon or leather halters, bridles and blankets to name a few. The TK-1245LA has 20 inches of work space for those bigger projects like horse blankets, tents and tarps. 5/8' of presser foot lift. Sews up to 1/2' of leather or material. Walking Foot (triple feed). Forward & Reverse Stitching. Extra long work space - 20 inches of work space. High Lift for sewing bulky materials. Uses Thread Sizes, 69, 92, 99, 138, 207.
